Summer Winds Down, Fall Gears Up

Summer Red raspberries are winding down although there are still many berries to be picked. Fall raspberry varieties are beginning to ripen.

The Blueberry field will be CLOSED for ripening Tuesday August 9 – Thursday August 11, and will RE-OPEN on Friday August 12 at 9 am.

This week will be the last for Blackberry picking until next year.

Vegetables are plentiful and include onions, beets, carrots, butterhead & romaine lettuce, salanova lettuce, kale, cucumbers, yellow & zucchini squash, yellow & green beans, radishes, yellow & red cherry tomatoes and big tomatoes.

The Herb Garden has several basil varieties – Genovese, Purple ruffles, Lemon, Lime and Cinnamon – great addition to recipes, plus many mints and other delicious herbs. Cut your own for the freshest flavor!
