THANK YOU

We are now closed for the year. Thank you for your support! The planning is already well underway for the 2025 season. New strawberry plants have been planted for next year. Have a wonderful fall, winter and spring. We look forward to seeing you at the farm in 2025!

Final Week of Raspberry Picking

This is the final week for raspberry picking before we close for the season – the plants are loaded with ripe berries. We are open Wed-Sunday 9-12 noon and Thursday 4:30-7 pm. Come on out and join us in the field!

Final 2 Weeks

Two weeks left for berry picking – our final day of the season is Sunday, September 8. We are picking red and blush raspberries. There are a few blackberries left, blueberries are done. Flowers and herbs are available for cutting. We have cherry and large tomatoes in the farmstand.

For Labor Day weekend, we will be open Saturday and Sunday mornings 9-12, closed on Monday Labor Day. We hope to see you at the farm soon!

Red Raspberries are Ripe

Our red raspberry plants are loaded with ripe berries. Come on out, pick some and then check out our Recipe Door for new suggestions for eating them. If it’s not sweet, then it’s probably not on the Recipe Door.

Raspberry Picking Sunday August 18

We will be open for raspberry picking from 10-12 noon today. This is will be the last day for blueberries. Blackberries need to ripen and will be available later in the week. There will NOT be any pre-picked berries available in the farmstand today. See you at the farm soon.

Weekend Changes

The farm will be CLOSED on Saturday August 17 for berry ripening. Opening Sunday will depend on whether we have a volume of ripe berries. I will post here by 8 am Sunday morning with an update so please check back before you drive over. We apologize if this disrupts your weekend plans – unfortunately we haven’t figured out how to control Mother Nature yet. See you at the farm soon.

Raspberry Field Closed Friday

The raspberry field will be CLOSED for ripening on Friday August 16. It will re-open on Saturday. The blueberry field will be open on Friday – this is likely the last week for them. Blackberries are wrapping up as well. Plenty of flowers and herbs available for cutting. See you at the farm.

Mid-August Berry Picking

Late season red raspberries (also known as Fall raspberries) are available for picking. The Double Gold raspberries will be ready soon. Still picking blueberries and blackberries although this may be the last week for both – stay tuned. Flowers and herbs still available for cutting. Hope to see you at the farm soon.

Upcoming Rain

The weather forecast for Friday and Saturday (August 9 & 10), seems to be in flux. If it is raining either of those two days, the farm will be closed. Suggest you check Facebook, our website or call the farm line (860)786-7486 before coming over. I will post whether we are open or closed each of those mornings.

THANK YOU !

A HUGE THANK YOU to all who supported our Walk to End Alzheimer’s fundraiser in memory of my Mom, Jane Cook Curtis. Mom loved working with us at our farm and interacting with so many of you over many years. We raised $562 from flower and herb sales and other generous donations. The funds have been transferred to the CT Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. If you missed our fundraiser and would like to contribute, we are still accepting donations at our check out, from “keep the change” to specific donations. We hope that very soon no one will have a loved one deal with dementia or Alzheimer’s.
